Studio

Splice is an editing, colour and VFX studio. We cut, grade and finish for clients who need a specific piece of work executed well rather than a house style applied over the top of it — which is why the work on this site spans six distinct disciplines rather than one signature look.

How we work

Every project starts with the same question: what is this actually being delivered for? A broadcast spot has different colour tolerances than a festival stage; a documentary edit has different structural rules than a fintech explainer. We staff and schedule each job against that answer rather than against a template.

Even the site is built this way

The hero and every reel card open on a real, licensed photograph — ffmpeg’s job is one deliberate camera move and a proper grade, nothing more. The transitions between sections and the grain over the frame are the parts that really are built from nothing, ffmpeg’s own noise and colour-bar generators standing in for a broadcast ident rather than a photograph. Knowing which is which, and never using the second technique to dodge the work of the first, is the same discipline we bring to a client’s footage.
